Gemma Pike

Occupational Therapist, FREED Champion (Norfolk)

My career in the NHS started as a health care assistant over a decade ago, which is where my love of health care began. After several years of working in both acute and community settings I was inspired to further my career, and trained as an Occupational Therapist at the University of Derby. I have since worked all over the country in various settings, allowing me to experience various illnesses and their treatment pathway. As an OT, I was always interested in ‘prevention rather than cure’ and thus the appeal for engagement in the early intervention in eating disordered originated. I have had a great career working with those with an eating disorder, and I am excited about how FREED can assist those on their recovery journey.
