FREED National Head & Consultant Psychotherapist & Nurse (Maudsley)
Danielle is one of the co-founders/developers of FREED and is consultant psychotherapist and nurse at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM).
She started work at Maudsley in 2003 and has held various positions within SLaM and private organisations, including clinical lead of Maudsley eating disorders until 2022. She is a highly experienced clinician within the eating disorders field and NHS. Some of the key skills of her role include working with complex patients, staff development, operational & financial management, care pathways development, quality improvement & ensuring effective translation of research to practice. She is co-author of book chapters and many research papers and led the team to win various prestigious awards including the British Medical Journal Award.
Danielle is so proud of everyone who has worked so hard and helped FREED to become a reality nationally and internationally helping patients and their families access the care they need and deserve. Outside of work you can find her getting downtime with her family and dog Winnie, and watching trashy TV.
