Manchester Eating Disorder Service launches FREED!
The Manchester Eating Disorders Service are delighted to have launched their FREED pathway on the 15th March 2021. Manchester Eating Disorder Service is a well established service offering specialist eating disorder treatment across Manchester.
The team are launching the FREED pathway in the midst of many exciting service changes. Manchester’s FREED launch was carried out virtually and they were thrilled to have so many people attending the launch from clinical commissioners to referring agencies, especially under such unusual circumstances.
The team have always valued inclusivity, and think making services as accessible as possible should be standard in treatment for eating disorders. The FREED model supports the team in doing this. The whole of the Manchester service are really excited to be part of FREED, valuing the role of early intervention and evidence based treatments tailored to the needs of young adults. FREED provides a real opportunity to intervene early and support people to gain the quality of life they deserve.
