Leicestershire Adult Eating Disorder Service go live with FREED!
The Leicestershire Adult Eating Disorders Service (LAEDS) went live with their FREED launch on 1st March 2021. The launch coincided with Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2021 to raise awareness about the new treatment pathway and promote early intervention.
"It is exciting to be part of the FREED network to share ideas about best practice"
Cheryl Logan – FREED Champion and Eating Disorders Therapist
With the launch taking place during lockdown, the LAEDS team celebrated virtually via video, from their homes or socially distanced offices, to mark the implementation of FREED for adults across Leicestershire. Those in the office were able to sample the delicious cake baked by Cheryl, the FREED Champion (photo). There was a real buzz within the staff team that the FREED pathway will enable young patients to be supported sooner with their eating disorder and achieve full recovery.
The FREED pathway within the LAEDS will be available to adults aged 18-25. More information about the LAEDS can be found at http://www.leicestereatingdisorders.co.uk/
