Cornwall Adult Eating Disorder Service launch FREED!

Cornwall’s Adult Eating Disorders Service launched the FREED pathway on the 9th April 2021!

For the launch CAEDS sent out a press release to local print outlets as well as sending information to the teams within their service line (Community Mental Health Teams, the Perinatal Service, Early Interventions in Psychosis and the Personality Disorders service) about FREED and invited them to a question and answer session on the 14th April 2021. The purpose of this was to give clinicians an opportunity to learn more about the pathway and address and questions that anyone had. CAEDS plan to do a more high profile launch later in the year when more staff are employed to support with the new pathway.

The FREED pathway within Cornwall’s adult eating disorders service will be available to adults aged 18-25, however we do support people transitioning from the CAMHS Eating Disorders Service from age 17 and 6 months.
