Norfolk Community Eating Disorder Service launch FREED!

The Norfolk Community Eating Disorder Team (NCEDS) is excited to announce that FREED will be going live during the summer of 2021. FREED will be available to adults aged between 18-25, encountering their first experience of an eating disorder.

For the FREED launch NCEDS will send information to local GPs and universities to let them know about the new early intervention pathway. We hope to work collaboratively with the University of East Anglia and The Norwich University of the Arts to promote awareness of eating disorders and FREED. We recognise that transitioning to independent living away from home can be challenging and we hope to provide support for those experiencing difficulties with their eating. FREED has lots of potential to provide a streamlined and effective service in the future, and we are evolving our service in real time to overcome barriers encountered during service delivery.

The NCEDS FREED pathway will be available to adults aged 18-25. For more information about our service, please visit: https://www.cpft.nhs.uk/search/service/norfolk-community-eating-disorder-service-nceds-40/
