FREED Network Shared Learning Conference March 2023
The FREED Network Shared Learning Conference took place on Monday 27th March, from 9:30-16:00, run by the Health Innovation Network, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Kings College London, and the AHSN Network. This event celebrated the learnings of FREED (First Episode Rapid Early Intervention for Eating Disorders).

The conference was joined by the following keynote speakers:
Professor Eric van Furth, Ph.D., FAED is Director at Rivierduinen, a large mental health organization in the Netherlands. He is responsible for the Center for Eating Disorders Ursula and is Professor of Eating Disorders at the department of psychiatry, Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC).
Professor Max Birchwood is Professor of Youth Mental Health at the University of Warwick, UK. He worked for many years as clinical director of youth mental health services and director of research and innovation for Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Services. He pioneered the concept and practice of early intervention in psychosis in the UK and internationally.
